PTSD

Posted By: wbhazel1 on August 6, 2011 at 3:25 am

Have you been in a situation where you thought you might die or be very seriously injured?

Were you close physically when someone else was killed or seriously injured?

Did you feel that there was little to nothing you could do to prevent the bad act(s) event from occurring?

Do you spend extra time now trying to avoid the previously experienced trauma?

Since the event(s) have you re-experienced the bad thing again and again through recurring bad dreams or flashbacks?

Do these reminders make you physically or emotionally ill?

Are your senses (sight, taste, smell, touch, or hearing) extra sensitive now and any sensory reminders i.e. a smell that you smelled during the traumatic event send you immediately back into the moment of trauma?

Are you now extra cautious and expect something bad to happen any moment?

Is this being “always prepared” for bad things to happen interfering with your life in ways that are not helpful?

Well if you answered yes to any of these questions I’d like to invite you to contact me for an online assessment and the possibility of supportive counseling to help bring you to the place that you really want.
